Folks with limited resources, but still looking for that trendy transporter, will be drawn to the Pure in a way we haven't seen since the VW bug.

The Smart Pure is only available in the coupe while the Passion comes in 2 configurations, a coupe and the cabriolet.
Most metropolitan drivers love the Smart Pure for many reasons. Such as the cars ability to park almost anywhere, its fuel savings and cost and of course its knockout looks.
The basic Smart Pure model starts at under $12,000; standard equipment includes remote locking management, leather steering wheel, a 5-speed transmission, a radio-ready console and comes with a standard black interior trim and safety shell.
The all new U.S.A. model 2008 Smart Pure has improved handling and safety features. Safety features even in the Pure model include front airbags, lateral airbags, ABS brakes and an electronic stability system (ESP). The redesigned ForTwo has been crash-tested by U.S. safety regulators and received a 5 star rating.
All Pure models are equipped with a new 3-cylinder (71HP) engine, a new 5 speed transmission. This is the same engine and transmission that comes in the Passion.
The Pure will get roughly 40 miles per gallon and it requires premium gas.
Removable body panels are light, flexible and well made. You can change the panels, thus changing the colors, as you would your watchband.
All Smart Cars are manufactured from recyclable materials - 80 percent of all materials that go into the Pure are recyclable - the Smart Pure is green, lean and mean.
